I have tried pts of paddles and I always go back to the Radius. I added weight to 2-9-12 o clock and it gave me much more power. I value control more with higher level players.

Chris-. Great review. I must admit, the loose glue would likely drive me nuts. Hopefully their QC corrects this. As always, your honest reviews are the reason I watch your show.

I feel like the handle circumference feels bigger than my filth . Not the biggest fan. I put hesacore on all my paddles and it’s almost too big.

The 1st Titanium/Carbon face paddle was the T-1000 Titanium by Insum. A sub brand of AMA Sports which is a large OEM. The T-1000 Titanium is BJ Perseus Gen 2 with a titanium/carbon face. Plays great but not USAPA Approved at the time.

A 3.0 with a good 3rd shot will force their opponents to make so many errors.

How many face layers are there in the SHOGUN? Wondering about a pure Titanium layer in the face.

I enjoyed Aizec and your paddle review of the Shogun. I have been enjoying playing with my Shogun for several weeks. I have great touch and control on my dinks and drops. Also, I have enough power on my drives and overheads. So far, I have not heard any rattling coming from my Shogun. Hopefully, I will not hear any rattling anytime soon. Thank you, Chris and Aizec.

With all respect, not talking about the "ballance" of the paddle is a bad sign. I have bought many paddles because of the reviews.. Many of them turned out to be head heavy! And to me (coming to the game from tennis and the pro Staff), this is a no go! Every serious tennis racket reviewer will talk about the ballance. I hope pickleball reviewers will catch on...

How would you compare the feel between the Shogun and a Kevlar paddle like the Ruby?

Thanks as always Chris. I am still holding out for the 6.0 BD 14 mm and the RUBY 14 mm. Both play much more all court than any other 14 mm I have ever used. I have played both... Yeah 6/25 for the new release coming.

I had been playing with Ben Johns gen2 and then switched to this a while ago. Similar paddles. Ben Johns has better handle, doesn't rattle, and has slightly better sweet spot. Shogun is cheaper, slightly more pop, still great control, better spin/surface longevity. Both nice, my two favorites out of everything I've played.

As a long-time Filth fan, I did not like this paddle's feel. The handle was shortened and the weave face doesn't feel right.
